EYEGLASS RECYCLING CENTER:
Grand Rapids Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center operations have been limited.
Collecting, sorting, washing, measuring, recording prescriptions in database, packaging glasses for shipping. We collect 400,000 pairs of used eyeglasses a year and process them for use on our Lions Vision Missions and some local uses.
Eyeglass donations are still encouraged. Donations can be dropped off at our new facility at 4060 29th ST SE in the rear of the Studio 616 – Dave Burgess Photography building. We have set up a shed in the rear so you can drop off your donated eyeglasses at any time or day. Striving for contact free donations.

Thank you for your interest in supporting this project.
The Eyeglass Recycling Center, 4060 29th Street, SE, Kentwood MI 49512 is where gently-used eyeglasses are sorted, cleaned, measured, and packed for our club’s yearly Mission Vision Clinics.
EYEGLASS MISSIONS:
Each year, upwards of 25,000 pairs of used eyeglasses are processed for use during our visits to rural communities in Latin America and the Caribbean. The Grand Rapids Lions receive assistance in this ongoing recycling effort from other area clubs and volunteer groups across West Michigan.
If you have eyeglasses you would like to drop off, there is a storage shed behind the building that is big enough to hold a car full of eyeglasses. The eyeglasses can be left there. If you have more than a car full, truck size, please make arrangements ahead of time with Lion Scott Brady.
